Jason Peterson is no stranger to the outdoors, growing up in north central Saskatchewan, Jason's parents (Dale and Linda) owned and operated a recreational resort on the shores of Lower Fishing Lake. Later, moving to the farm fringe of eastern Saskatchewn, where trapping, fishing, predator, big game and bird hunting were some of Jason's passions you could bet to almost always find him in the outdoors. Ever since able, Jason has made his living in the outdoors, and started "Peterson Guiding Services", working for outfitters and guiding clients across mostly Western Canada, from moose and grizzly in Northern British Columbia, to monster whitetail and black bear in his home province of Saskatchewan. Jason's skill as an outdoorsman, personality, know how and attention to detail have also taken him on another path that he loves, and that is filming wildlife. Jason also founded "Peterson Outdoors" a company that is in the business of filming outdoor related programs for a variety of outdoor producers. He has travelled to many corners of the world with different outdoor producers, mostly Kim Hicks, Host of Hunting 201. From the wild's of Alaska in persuit of huge Brown Bear to the plains of Africa in search of the many different and abundant antelope species. Jason has also tried his hand at writing, with stories published in a few different outdoor magazines in the United States and Canada. Jason is an accomplished archer, but also hunts extensively with muzzleloader, rifle,and shotgun. His personal hunting interests include waterfowl, upland birds and predators, but his true passion is big game. He has hunted almost everything that calls Canada home from moose to mule deer and everything in between and has also had the opportunity to hunt in the lower 48 as well as taking a few different species of plains game in Africa on several different trips. Besides his passion for the outdoors Jason's true loves are his family, wife (Terri) and 2 wonderful children (Baylie and Cole).
